Kai Hsiung is a seasoned technology executive and advisor with deep expertise in the Salesforce ecosystem, specializing in guiding companies through critical growth phases and transformative market strategies.
His career began at IBM in 2000, where he started as a Business Development Representative and worked his way into sales management. Recognizing the potential of cloud computing, Kai left IBM to help found Silverline, one of the premier Salesforce consulting partners, where he took on progressively senior roles including VP of Sales and Marketing, Chief Revenue Officer, and ultimately Chief Growth Officer.
Under Kai’s strategic guidance, Silverline secured significant investment from Salesforce Ventures in 2013, executed a successful exit to Private Equity in 2018, and completed a final exit to Mphasis in 2023, growing revenue to an impressive $70M. During this period, Silverline achieved the historic distinction of being ranked #1 on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work for SMBs in 2018 and #3 in 2019—becoming the first and only SMB company to place in the top three consecutively in Glassdoor’s history, reflecting Kai’s commitment to building exceptional workplace cultures alongside commercial success.
Simultaneously, Kai demonstrated his entrepreneurial vision by launching CalendarAnything, a successful SaaS business on the Salesforce AppExchange, where as General Manager he built the product to $4M in ARR with over 800 global clients while maintaining his leadership responsibilities at Silverline.
Throughout his career, Kai has built an extensive network of relationships across the technology sector, particularly within the Salesforce ecosystem, which he leverages to create value for the organizations he advises.
Today, Kai serves as board director and interim head of Go-To-Market at Kicksaw, a Rallyday Partners portfolio company. His strategic guidance extends to multiple technology firms within the Salesforce ecosystem, including board and advisory roles at The Hunley Group, Rosetree Solutions, Goldfinch, Swantide, and Unaric.
Kai is a seasoned investor across both public and private markets, with experience spanning all asset classes. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Kai dedicates time to mentoring young aspiring entrepreneurs and technology leaders. In his leisure time, he enjoys mining for crystals and gemstones, crab fishing, and preparing gourmet sushi. Kai resides in New York City with his wife and two children.
