What is your favorite childhood memory?

I was 10 years old in Aurelia, Iowa at the CABA World Series. We lived with local families, experienced small town America and played baseball amongst the corn. It was my version of Field of Dreams, which, coincidentally, came out that summer.

What has been your most defining life experience?

Building an award-winning, mid-market investment bank from nothing—because I viewed the entrepreneurial path as too risky. In hindsight, I can look back on that journey and see all the pitfalls and risks that my focus and confidence helped block from sight.

What has been your toughest life experience?

In my first pitching start as a sophomore in college, I suffered a career-ending injury. At 20 years old, I lost a big piece of my identity.

What do you believe to be the most important leadership skill?

FOCUS. Leaders are the aperture of an organization and create clarity in vision, strategy and culture.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Marrying my high school sweetheart and raising our three amazing kids!

Travis Conway

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Travis Conway is a founder, entrepreneur, COO, investment banker, and private equity investor with a passion for founder-led companies.

After training as a consultant for Ernst & Young and Navigant Consulting (now GuideHouse), Travis joined an upstart, Denver-based investment bank, SDR Ventures. As President and Managing Director, Travis grew SDR from a team of three to become the largest single-office, independent investment bank in the Rocky Mountain Region and co-founded Coulton Creek Capital, a private debt and equity investment firm to address capital inefficiencies in the lower-middle market.

Travis’ experience as a trusted advisor and capital partner for hundreds of founders over the last 20 years provides him with unique insights into the talents, dreams, and fears of entrepreneurs and led him to co-found Rallyday. Travis is active in the community as a Board Member of InBank and volunteers his time as a competitive youth baseball coach.

At Rallyday, Travis leads the investment team, architect team, and operations team as COO and is the standard bearer of both the Rallyday brand and Rallyday ‘product’ we offer our portfolio company founders, leaders, and teams.

Travis’ pursuit of perfection is evident in his leadership of the Rallyday platform and his turf care, but anything resembling perfection has eluded him in both golf and fly fishing. He lives in Littleton with his wife and three children. Travis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Trinity University.
